The French Toast is one of the most popular dish, suitable for the weekend brunch.

This recipe was already known in the 4th Century; infact it had a mention in the Apition, a Latin cookbook.

Now Chef Frankie is showing you how to make your own Franch Toast!

The ingredients you need are very simple:

  • Bread’s slices
  • 2/3 Cup of milk
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 2 Tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Put the milk, the sugar, the 4 eggs, the salt and the vanilla in a shallow bowl.

Use a whisk to mix all the ingredients together.

Dunk the bread’s slices into the mixture you got: make sure the slices are fully covered!

Put the butter in a fry pan and let it melt over medium heat.

Add the mixture-covered slices in the pan and lee them cook until they are golden brown, on each side.

Your French Toast is ready.

Now you can serve it adding whatever you want.

Chef Frankie suggests to try it with butter and chives.

Enjoy your meal!
